untitled

burdened by fear,
black as the night,
running, and searching,

holding dear her fright.

wafting and wavering,

with so much to please.

words that can't contain enough,

now forced onto knees.
to plead and beg,

a pardon to receive.

it's Trust that's been forsaken.

glimpsing the early deceit.

Grace-- my glory!

how sweet the Name.
restoration and peace,
contentment, no shame.

the Final Day, alas!

once more to bow,

i turned to see the Face.

He'd lead me through to now.

'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
and to take Him at his word;
just to rest upon his promise,
and to know, "Thus saith the Lord."

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust him!
How I've proved him o'er and o'er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust him more!
